Bob Dole endorses Donald Trump

Former Republican Leader and representative of Kansas, Senator Robert (Bob) Dole at  94 received one of America’s highest civilian honor bestowed by Congress, The Congressional Gold Medal in ceremony on Capitol Hill yesterday, Wednesday, January 17, 2018.

President Trump spoke highly of Dole’s  legacy to America and praised him for being a “great American“. Trump said, the former senator holds the record for the longest-serving Republican leader in the Senate. He held his Congressional seat from 1961 to 1996 when he retired. He served as the Republican Leader of the Senate from 1985 to 1996. Dole was a war hero. Dole was a Lawyer before joining Congress. Trump praised the former Senator as a “great American” for his service to the country.
